Very generally, please dress in more neutral colors. Consider bringing an additional jacket, tie, cardigan, scarf, or jewelry for an added pop of color and variety. Steer clear of bold designs, prominent brand names or graphics, sleeveless outfits, and fabrics that are excessively sheer, low-cut, or wrinkle easily. A compact mirror will be available for your convenience and there are larger mirrors in nearby restrooms. We appreciate your effort to manage any necessary hair, jewelry, and makeup adjustments.
We may take up to 50 photos. However, the first few photos are test shots to get optimal lighting. After that, we will take photos that convey different expressions and positions. Some photos will be landscape (horizontal) and portrait (vertical). Afterwards, the photographer may take 2–3 weeks to do basic photo editing, such as color correction, cropping, and retouching to enhance the best five images. We will let you know when these photos are ready for review and we will ask you which photo you prefer cropped for a headshot. After that, we will upload your photos to staff and faculty bios (if we have access). We will also provide you with a link to your photos to download as needed.
