Reserving Space at Better Family Life

Through our administrative partnership, the Brown School is pleased to offer satellite space for community-based research, teaching and training, and service activities at Better Family Life (BFL) in North City. This initiative is an investment to provide a richer, in-community presence and training environment for Brown School faculty, students, and staff.

Established in 1983, Better Family Life is not-for-profit community development organization that works to stabilize inner-city neighborhoods. Each year, BFL serves more than 50,000 children and adults, including the underemployed, unemployed and skill-deficient.

Better Family Life offers holistic solutions to issues that commonly threaten communities and the family unit.  They provide life-enhancing employment training and placement, education, housing and asset development, community outreach, and youth, family and clinical services.
